Cullen Investments

Cullen Investments Limited is an international private investment company founded by executive chairman Eric Watson in 1995. Cullen's primary focus is development of its international portfolio, which includes interests in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. Market sectors cover fashion retail, financial services, agriculture, real estate, and sports and entertainment. Cullen Investments group companies have offices world-wide, including premises in London, New York, Sydney, Auckland and Melbourne.

Cullen Investments has its origins in a start-up founded by Mr Watson in 1988. Cullen interests include:

  • 100% of international lingerie company Bendon, whose prestige brands include the licensed Elle Macpherson Intimates and Stella McCartney labels.

  • An interest in US-listed Cullen Agricultural Holding Corp. arising from the consummation of a business combination between Triplecrown Acquisition Corp. and Cullen Agricultural Technologies Inc. ("Cullen Agritech"). Cullen Agritech is a research and development company committed to the development and commercialization of advanced agricultural technologies, primarily focused on the animal food sector.

  • A number of sporting and entertainment interests, including a majority shareholding in the New Zealand Warriors Rugby League Club, a significant investment in premium bloodstock, and a majority stake in the management company for professional boxer Shane Cameron.

Cullen has a substantial international property portfolio, as well as a number of private investment trading portfolios in Foreign Exchange, Equities and Commodities. Cullen also runs The Watson Foundation, a charitable trust focused on enriching the lives of underprivileged children and young people.

Cullen Investments is an active and strategic investor, balancing solid business disciplines with entrepreneurial expertise across its diversified portfolio.
